Who has the best “hot” chicken? I recently discovered Twist Hot Chicken, which serves elevated Nashville hot chicken tenders, wings, and sandwiches… but with a twist. Check out my review!

Slim Chickens Review (Maricopa)
Another chicken tender place has arrived in the Southeast Valley. At Slim Chickens, you can choose from 17 dipping sauces. Classic menu items, but also a few you typically do not see often. FULL REVIEW
Fly Bye Review (Arcadia)
In this review, I went to Arcadia (Phoenix) to try Fly Bye. It is a familiar concept: pizza and chicken. Specifically, Detroit-style pizza and crispy chicken. All of Arizona wants to know, “Was it Justin Leonard Approved?”
Sneaky Bird Review (Scottsdale)
For this review, I stopped by the new Sneaky Bird restaurant in Scottsdale. They offer “never ever fried” chicken entrees like sandwiches, wings, tenders, flat breads, salads, and wraps. Can a non-fried chicken alternative compete?
Gus’s Fried Chicken Review (Ahwatukee)
In this review, I test Gus’s world famous hot and spicy fried chicken, which is made from a wet batter. Gus’s Fried Chicken features a classic southern menu with at least five homemade pies, and it is a full service dining experience.
Daddy’s Chicken Shack Review (Scottsdale)
The review for Daddy’s Chicken Shack has arrived. They specialize in “pressure cooked” chicken and they offer at least 10 sauce options. I like that the chicken sandwiches are made from full breasts and not 3 annoying tenders.
Foreva Wings Review (Tempe)
Here is my review of Foreva Wings in Tempe, AZ. Overall, Justin Leonard Approved. They have at least 15 wing flavors! The menu has everything from chicken wings to hot dogs. Menu says they are Arizona’s first wing and soul food sports bar.
Harold’s Chicken Shack Review (Phoenix)
A legendary fried chicken and seafood spot from Chicago. Chicken wings traditionally served with “mild sauce” drizzled on top. You already know, son: livers + gizzards is on the menu! Limited seating available; definitely a “to-go” operation (all food served in a bag).
Dave’s Hot Chicken Review (Gilbert)
Probably the best version of “hot chicken” I’ve tried so far. The “hot” level is much hotter than one might expect. Wimps should start with medium. Both the chicken and crinkle-cut fries are crispier than most. Large chicken tenders and sliders almost the size of a regular chicken sandwich.
Birdcall Review (Scottsdale)
This is a formal Birdcall restaurant review. Their original chicken sandwich tastes almost identical to Chic-Fil-A. Probably the fanciest of all the fast-casual chicken restaurants. Delivers on taste as expected.
