Foreva Wings Restaurant Review
This restaurant is located near the northwest corner of Southern and McClintock. Looking at the logo, I assumed it would be similar to ATL Wings. The logo, to me, signals “fast food.”

I think it’s supposed to be a casual dining experience, but I would describe it more as a semi-casual restaurant. It’s like a 50/50 split between a takeout spot and casual dining.
For example, there was no host/greeter by the entrance. But there was somewhat of a wait staff present.

The interior was very nice. The bar area looked like someone’s home kitchen liquor cabinet setup. Televisions are positioned throughout the restaurant.

The bottom portion of the menu reads, “Arizona’s 1st Wing & Soul Food Sports Bar!” Foreva Wings is kinda soul food-ish, but with several items you typically don’t see on a soul food menu.

Foreva Wings has quite a large menu. I always get nervous whenever I see a huge menu because you can almost guarantee something will be out of stock. They have everything from halal wings to hot dogs, and even turkey burgers. I saw at least five desserts. They also have vegan menu options.
No joke, there were probably more than 15 wing flavors. All the latest trends, like hot honey, strawberry, and mango, are covered. There were nearly 20 options for side items. So, whatever you are in the mood for, they will probably have it.
During my “Saturday” visit, I attempted to order the brisket sandwich and a half rack of ribs. Unfortunately, both were out of stock.
Plan B was to try the hot link sandwich and an order of wings with Cajun dry rub. What I thought was a hot link sandwich was not a sandwich. It was a hot sausage link on a hot dog bun. So, a bit of confusion on my part with the labeling on the menu.

At any rate, the hot link “dog” was great. This item includes an order of… not fries, not mac and cheese, not corn on the cob, but chips and salsa. Interesting concept. I like creativity! The chips were good. The salsa was not quite my preference.

While it was definitely fresh and the flavor was there, I could not detect any salt. It’s gotta have salt: at least enough to match the salt level in the chips.
For variety, I added a side of red beans and rice to the order. They make theirs a little different than what I am used to. Typically, the white rice and the red bean mixture are visibly separated but served together.

The Foreva Wings version seems like they mix everything together like gumbo. But it was still very good.
Now, the wings!
The Cajun dry rub wings were great. They were seasoned and cooked perfectly. As stated, they have about 15 wing flavors (probably more). Because of this, the flavor selection is presented on a separate menu. The flavors are grouped by wet sauces and dry rubs.

If you are looking for some chicken wings in Tempe, give Foreva Wings a shot because this one is Justin Leonard Approved.
